Group Training

Okay, let’s face it, training alone every day is no fun. Sometimes you need that extra push that you get while training with others. You will be pleased to know that we offer several opportunities for group training. While the winter is typically the off season used for base building or gaining strength, it’s never too early to start thinking about training for the spring season.

Our famous Wednesday Night Brick:

The 2013 Brick season will be starting on April 24.  We begin at The Helen Fenske Visitor Center (32 Pleasant Plains Rd in Basking Ridge).  Meet at 6pm for a 14 mile bike loop followed by a 5k run (or more if you choose).  Routes and distance may vary as the the season moves on.

Road Rides:

We are joining forces with our bike sponsor, Marty's for a better experience for everyone!  Regular rides are as follows:

Monday Nights 6pm (Morristown shop) - not a beginner ride...usually 20-35 miles depending on daylight.

Wednesday Nights 6pm (Randolph shop) - All levels (A,B,C) and distances.

Saturday Mornings 8am (Morristown & Randolph) - Morristown is a 20 mile loop - A little faster, but breaks into groups depending on who shows up.  Randolph is a little more laid back.

Sunday Mornings 8:30am (Chatham - Loantaka Way parking lot - far side) Fast and hilly 30-50 miles.

First (maybe 2nd) Sunday of the Month 9:30am - LADIES ONLY! Intermediate/advanced ride.  Loantaka South St.

Check out Marty's calendar for additional details.

Runs:

Thursdays 6pm (Madison) - We are teaming up with another great sponsor, Starting Line Sports (67 Main St.). Various paces and distances.

Sunday 9am (Morris Twp - Loantaka South St. parking lot, trail head) - Casual, friendly trail run of various distances and paces.

Swimming:

The Drew Masters Swim program is a favorite training opportunity for many Paramounters and local triathletes.

Mon/Wed/Fri mornings 6am-7:15am, and 9:15am-10:30am.

Tue/Thu evenings 7:45-9pm

Saturday mornings 7am-9am

Splinter Workouts:

Let's face it. We're all busy and spread out and not all of these workouts fit into our schedule, but we want to train with others to stay motivated and to push ourselves. The solution? Splinter Workouts!!

Do you have a regular training routine? If so, would you be willing to host a regular workout? This could be a run or ride and you can be any level. As you know, a club is only as good as its members.  And this is where you come in.

If you are willing to start a splinter group of any kind (come on...you know you want to...), please This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. the location, time and pace, and we'll put it on the calendar.
